The 3rd Annual WIN Track Daz was another incredible day at Buttonwillow Raceway. We provided a chance for veterans, riders, and supporters to come together, ride, reconnect, and honor the memory of US Marine Corps brother Josh Covarrubias.
Josh had a way of bringing people together naturally. He was the one texting you to get out of the house, reminding you that you weren’t meant to do it alone.
Josh’s wife, Mairu Covarrubias joined us again, holding the annual tribute t-shirt we make each year for Josh’s ride. WIN was also gifted a Paige Ingram original of Ben and Josh riding together, another reminder of the meaning behind the day.
This year’s ride had our biggest turnout yet. We were joined by experienced riders, first-timers, and our valued group of volunteers. Everyone showed up ready to ride, and to support each other. A Track Daz event takes a village – from behind the scenes work, to safety prep, to keeping everyone on schedule – it’s a group effort that can’t happen without a lot of support.
Our riders pushed themselves on the track, testing lines and laps with focus and energy. It’s that intensity veterans know well. From the paddock to the track, there is drive, adrenaline, and camaraderie.
We also highlighted some training sessions, giving veterans a chance to sharpen skills and learn together. This aligns with our mission to connect transitioning veterans with motorsports in the interest of both developing their skills and experiencing the therapeutic benefits of motorcycles and the racetrack.
WIN helps veterans move forward. We provide tools, mentorship, and pathways into aviation careers. But before they can meaningfully have any of that, veterans need connection and community. Track Daz creates a space to ride, share, and support one another. Together, we celebrate wins, remember losses, and stay present for each other.
This event isn’t about how fast someone rides — it’s about showing up, supporting each other, and honoring those we’ve lost. Our riders, volunteers, and supporters made that happen.
Special thanks to:
We take care of our own.
And together, we keep moving forward.
We WIN.
