Miramar Career Fair

Helping Active-Duty Service Members Prepare for a Successful Transition into Aviation Careers

WIN was proud to report for duty at the Miramar Career Fair on April 25, 2025 — standing shoulder-to-shoulder with active-duty Marines and service members preparing to transition to civilian life. Our mission was clear: to show how your mechanical experience in uniform can launch a high-demand, high-impact career in aviation.

Building Awareness Before Transition

Our presence at the fair was all about early education and readiness. We introduced attendees to the WIN Aviation Maintenance Mentorship Program, driving home one key truth:

Your experience matters — and it can fast-track your future.

We equipped service members with knowledge on how to properly document their military training now, before separation, ensuring they’re squared away when it’s time to transition. It’s about creating forward momentum — and making sure no hard-earned skill goes unrecognized.

Fast-Track to A&P Certification

We support veterans in understanding how to leverage and document their military hours, helping them navigate the certification process for Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) more efficiently and with confidence.

Here’s what the career trajectory looks like:

  • Entry-Level: $20–25/hr
  • Airframe Certified: $25–30/hr
  • Powerplant Certified: $30–35/hr
  • Full A&P Certification: $40–50/hr
  • Lead Roles: $50–60/hr+

Lifting the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals

Our message to the Marines and service members was simple and strong: WIN is more than a program — we’re your team. We’ve got your back.

From mentorship and resume prep to job placement and career support, WIN exists to ensure that when you step out of the military, you step into something that honors your skills, your discipline, and your service.

Thank you to all of our sponsors for their continued support of WIN.
